If you are pre-Security, you’ll likely wind up on the floor, so bring an extra layer or sleep mat as cushion on the hard surface. A few travellers have had some luck staying in 24-hour eateries, as long as they purchase something, but others have been shooed away for trying to use their seating. Sometimes, travellers who arrive the night before an early-morning departure may be allowed to enter into the (much more comfortable) Secure area, but there’s no guarantee. Arrive with plenty of time before your flight to grab a seat, though do anticipate armrests, which make sleep more elusive. Seating is scant in the pre-Security areas, but a bit more plentiful inside Security.
